Estate planning · Intake

Start my will the full questionnaire.

Every question on one page, about ten to fifteen minutes. Fill it in online and download your answers, or print the blank questionnaire to complete offline. An admitted attorney turns your answers into a properly drafted will for you to review before you sign anything.

How this works: answer the questions below (required ones are flagged if left blank when you generate), then download or send your completed answer set to us. Nothing here is legally binding, it's the instruction sheet we draft your will from. Prefer to do it on paper or circulate it to family first? Use the blank PDF print below.

Your information stays on your device until you send it. Incomplete answers are fine; send what you have and follow up later.

01 · About you

Your details

This is you, the person making the will (the "testator" or "testatrix").

02 · Marital status

Are you married or in a partnership?

This affects how your estate is divided and what your spouse or partner already owns.

03 · Children & dependants

Do you have children or other dependants?

Include anyone you consider a child, biological, step, adopted, or otherwise dependent on you. Complete as many as apply.

Child / dependant 1

Child / dependant 2Optional

Child / dependant 3Optional

Child / dependant 4Optional

Have more than four? Complete these four and note the rest under "Anything else" in section 09, we'll capture them all when we draft.

04 · Executor

Who should administer your estate?

Your executor carries out the instructions in your will and manages the process with the Master of the High Court.

05 · Guardian

Who should raise your minor children if you can't?

Complete only if you have children under 18. A guardian steps in only if there's no surviving parent able to care for them.

06 · Specific gifts

Specific things left to particular people

For example, a property, a vehicle, jewellery, or a sum of money. Everything not listed here forms part of your residual estate, covered next.

Gift 1Optional

Gift 2Optional

Gift 3Optional

07 · Residual estate

Who should inherit the rest of your estate?

Everything left once specific gifts, debts and costs have been settled, usually the bulk of what you own. If you list more than one beneficiary, the shares should add up to 100%.

Residual beneficiary 1

Residual beneficiary 2Optional

Residual beneficiary 3Optional

Residual beneficiary 4Optional

08 · Trust for young beneficiaries

Should any inheritance be held in trust?

Recommended if any beneficiary is a minor, or someone you'd rather not receive a lump sum immediately.

09 · Final wishes

Any final wishes? (optional)

These aren't legally binding instructions, but we include them so your family has clear guidance.
